Try speedtech lighting. I have one of their 6 heads and never had 1 problem ever. Yes I know whelen has a very good product but ice heard bad stories too.

Are there ever warranties on the bulbs? I just had one of mine stop working, I assume it just burnt up. All of the wiring is still intact and working, just not flashie flashie

I'm not a big fan of "hideaway" style strobes because they're such a pain to install and you basically ruin every housing you install them in. (Makes it tough when you go to sell the truck.) The other problem I have with them is their limited visibility from the sides. For my truck I needed 360 degree warning visibility, so I went with a roof mounted light bar. But, if I were to install them the only way I'd go would be Whelen. Reasonably priced, reliable and bright.

The Hide Away strobes are not the only lights that I run on my truck when I use them but they grab peoples attention better than just my 16in amber light bar. I am going to upgrade to a larger strobe bar over the winter to grad a little more attention than the combo I have now. The bulbs are cheap enough I am going to leave them in my housings and buy new bulbs or upgrade to Whelens LED stobe bulbs.

Maybe you just need a bar more like mine - or with the modified filters I build and install. You'd be surprised how effective mine is. If you're interested, drop me an e-mail and I'll see if I can help you. I have a number of local Fire Fighters and Fire Police (including one Chief) running my modified light bars.

Oviedo is the supplier...brand of lights were Whelen. Find me someone who sells a brand new 6 head 90 watt kit with 6 screw in bulbs for less than that and I will shake your hand.

In my personal opinion colored hideaways are useless, but if that is your heart's desire Sirennet has a strobe kit builder that lets you choose every component from power supply to bulb color.
