supercharged harley new body vs. my truck
doubt it
you might be able to pull down 280 RWHP...but you are going to need an extremely good tuner, full exhaust with longtube headers, and smaller tires/rims
after you factor in all the costs to do the cams, exhaust and other goodies...have you ever considered the $2,300 RoushCharger?
instantly +112 HP. upwards of +140 RWHP with tuning and 8 psi

only reason you won is because the HD driver was messing something up
UNTUNED he is pulling 100 more RWHP than you are currently.
like I said before, with my N/I RoushCharged FX4 Supercrew, there is no way in hell a normal F-150 ever had a chance against me. and I was only pumping 412 crank HP...so about 300 RWHP since mine was 4x4.
with their stock tuning, the Roush/Saleen don't fully go into the boost until 100% throttle.
Cams are nice and all, but they seriously impact the driveability of the vehicle around town, and you will lose TQ for some HP gains. Stop by the Mustang forums and ask about the cams.
get the $2,300 N/I RoushCharger. Instant gratification, less trouble and ultimately less $$$ spent than trying to get 300+ RWHP with a N/A motor. It was hands down the best mod I have ever done on a vehicle.

your truck stock has 300 HP crank, and about 210 RWHP...with tuning, about 230-240 rwhp...upwards of 250 RWHP with e-fans and u/d pullies
his truck has 445 HP crank, and about 330-340 RWHP

I have a 2009 GT that I will be installing either the Big ***** Thumpers, or the FRPP Cams myself. But those will be in conjunction with a Supercharger.
That way I get the noise, and get to keep my low end HP/TQ. The cams are great for higher RPM HP...but like I said, you lose low end TQ...which kinda defeats the purpose of having a truck if you are sacrificing TQ IMO.

i understand what your saying but i dont do any type of hauling or anything with my truck so losing a lil low end tq i dont think is going to hurt my feeling in any way im looking to do the frpp hot rod cams with underdrive pulleys, efan and 4.10 gears i have 3.55 gears right now let me know what you think and the cheapest n/i roushcharger was $2500 then i will need a tune there is a bas a$$ tuner here where i live and he charges $400 for the dyno tune so close to about $3000 for charger and tune or a lil over $1000 for cams and tune
true...it's about 1/2 the price for what you currently have planned vs. the blower
best of luck with it. best I think you can expect is about 280 RWHP. but coupled with 4.10 gears and you would have a real screamer though.

I can't bring myself to do cams or gears. I have wanted to for years and had the money but It really doesn't make that much sense. My truck has full bolt ons, longtubes, tru duals, custom tunes, s&b cai, dual 16 e-fans, j-mod etc. My truck runs very well people are always impressed with it.
You will just end up kicking yourself in the long run. I'm not sure what mods you have but if you haven't already done the supporting mods (exhaust, intake, etc..) then you need to. If you plan on running any kind of stereo then forget about doing the under drive pulleys. There's very few people on this site that actually run them, or have ran them and took them off because they weren't impressed. I would love cams but it's not like we have pushrod motors. The power gains on the modular motors compared to a pushrod with cams is minimal. It's way more effective whereas in the fords it's not worth wasting your money. There's not really any performance to be gained from them really unless you have a blower already and get a custom grind for your application. Ya it sounds mean as hell but is it worth giving up dependability and gas mileage? Also, make sure you have a shop lined up that will do the cams. I know a lot of people that won't even touch them because they're such a pain. Good luck with whatever you decide. Call Jim Jr at JDM and see if he will work with you on a saleen blower. They were even going to do a payment plan with me. He quoted me 3700 out the door for a brand new saleen blower intercooler and all. Save your money and get a blower you wont regret it

Don't waste your time with cats there's no reason to. If you have to have them to pass emissions then hollow them out. You might as well go with 4.30's if you plan on making the switch. I decided to just keep mine all motor and stick with my 3.55's since I do tons of highway driving. To each their own.
