I took my original switch apart 3 times to clean up the contacts. I finally replaced it this summer. The replacement part has the same part number, so the problem will return.

This is a very common problem at least it's easy to swap out.

I was able to fix the last one, so now I have a spare. I took the switch apart and move the drivers switch to the rear window and vise versa. So now the contacts on the drives are as good as new!

Driver and passenger side front, once each– so far

Less than 25,000 miles. Dealer replaced under warranty, no charge.

i fixed my original one about 3 times before giving it and buying one at probably around 60k now at 130k its going out again, i have fixed it several times and as of now i have figured out how to just shove a nail down the hole to hit one of the contacts to roll up the drivers window

Built September of '03 and still have the originals. Original everything for that matter (except rotors and pads). I guess they put more effort into the very early ones to make a good impression.

Replaced my first one today after taking it totaly apart and cleaning everything about 3 months ago. I figured that I had to do something when my passenger front window switch stopped working and it may be a coincidence but after I changed the master switch the passenger switch worked again.
