noise in front end

noise in front end

While driving in 2wd there is a noise in the front, not a grinding though. If i but it in fwd hi the noise goes away. Not sure if this is a selenoid or an actuator.

I will bet my left you know what that it is the vacuum contol selenoid, 51.28 part from ford. Just replaced mine yesterday and it now drives like a cadillac! good luck!

Thanks , had already done so and the noise was gone for about 3 hours then returned. I am going to replace the actuator and see what happens next.
