No maybe about it. The 5.4 3v are all 7 quarts (at least in the F150). That surprised me when I bought my 04 back in Sept of 2003. I also believe the 4.6 3v are also 7 quart. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

I usually use motorcraft filters, but with this vehcile, swithced to K&N HP-2010. Bit more money, but easier come oil change time.
