Heated seat help

now that its getting cooler out we've been using the heated seats more...well, the wife has mainly....anyhow the passenger seat cuts itself off after like 5 minutes. the driver seat will stay on til youve got cooked booty....so whats wrong with the passenger seat?

and to answer your question: absoutely nothing.

your driver seat has the problem if it never turns itself off.

in my 04 both seats time out after about 10mins.

its designed like that so u dont leave it on for hours and destroy the heating coil. (the same goes with heated mirrors.)

and I figured it might be that the passenger seat was correct and the driver seat was not turning itself off properly...I just know they are doing different things heh

first, what is wrong with the driver seat then?

second, is there a way to get them to stay on longer than 10 minutes? my previous audi's seats never turned off and when we take longer road trips (800+ miles) that would suck to push the button every 10 minutes.

any one have any ideas as to what the problem with the driver seat could be? I dont want it to catch on fire or something
