Arrow Where to get OEM tailgate cap?

When I bought my truck, this was missing. It's an '04 FX4 styleside. Anyone know where I can get one, and for the best price?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the plastic cap on top of the tailgate?

Tasca has them for 31.49 but they are listed as 05-08, don't know if the 04 is different or not, give them a call and see if the 05 will fit.

thats a steal I think I am going to buy one, because mine is not in very good shape. Every other tab is broken from removing it to get the tailgate resprayed and it comes off sometimes

Mine was $40 shipped from tasca and it came quick and packed nice. I found it easier to take of the metal plate of and slip the edge of the plastic under the metal.

Not to take any business from someone at this rough time in our economy, but I was hauling some brush and ripped my tailgate cap off. I brought it home, washed it all down good, then wiped everything with rubbing alcohol to remove any greasy prints. I then got some industrial 3M double sided tape and stuck the cap back on. So far it has been 3 months, and with washing and the rain we have had here in the south east, no issues. I'm fairly sure that this isn't a 100% fix, but it will do for now.

On the other hand, I will be in touch with Tasca to get new caps all the way around after the first of the year. The previous owner had a tool box in the bed that drilled through the bed rails...

I was loading a 4wheeler in my truck when the cap was pushed off by the tire. I pressed it back in but not all fo the clips survived the de-installation. I had it on for about 3 weeks and one day I got out of my truck and it was gone. Hopefully it didn't hit anyone, but yeah I lost mine like that.
