Have you ever done a mod you've later regretted?
For me, the only mod I slightly regret is my 22" rim and tire set-up. For my personal taste, 22's are a tad too "blingy" for a truck, and I have already purchased a set of Roush 20" rims to replace them. Once I get around to deciding what rubber I want to run, I'll take the 22's off and put my Roush package on -- problem solved!

Not Yet for Me...
Let me see, I have changed/added:
(exterior)
- 6 piece Street Scene chrome grill (FX4)
- Auto Ventshades (all four)
- Line-X bed with Undercover
- 2.0 inch AS up front
- Procomp long AAL in rear
- BFG AT/KO 285/65R18 (OE Goodyears did not have a first "good year")
- Husky Mudguards (had to trim for the slightly larger tires)
(interior)
- Brandmotion IPOD adaptor (the best)
- Edge Evo display (really like)
- Steering wheel wrap
(performance)
- Edge Evo (more fun to drive)
- Airaid Jr. (not really a performance add-on)
So far, I only slightly regret the grill inserts. I wanted the brushed chrome product, but they were not available at the time of purchase. After 50K, the chrome on two of the inserts is starting to rust. I kept putting some wax on them, but the actual coating of chrome is peeling. I guess that's not bad after 50K, but should have settled on a better quality product. The rest of that list is no regrets.
I agree that this website makes a person go through periods of "I've gotta do that mod...it looks great". One thing I can say is that a wife is like having a very responsible CFO in the family. Without her, I have no doubt that the above list of mods would be much larger...along with my list of regrets.

Leather. I got caught up in the whole "eBay leather" stuff, so I did black leather. Looks nice, but it dont fit correctly. Further, my suspension is F'D up post lift. Probably because I decided to use my truck as a 4x4 truck, but still
.
Anyway, I may actually end up putting the cloth covers back on.

I haven't modified mine. I was thinking VERY strongly about doing LOTS of different things, but then I started building up my Explorer. Once the F is ready for new rubber I'll very likely go with a Bilstein level and 35" KM2s, but that's literally the end of my potential modifications. I'm surprisingly happy with the entire stock package (it's pretty thoroughly loaded out from the factory) and when I want to get kicks with modifying things, I have my Ex to cut up- it already has 2" lift, 34s, transmission conversion, Dynomax exhaust, and a few other mods... and I'm only just getting started.
I've regretted A LOT of things I've done in the past. I used to have a 1989 Crown Victoria station wagon that went through various stages of tacky, ghetto, and POS. I finally stripped out the drivetrain and installed a GT40P engine with a T5, but by then it was so hacked together it wasn't worth the effort to get everything else (window motors, door hinges, etc) back up to par to make it worth the motor it had. That's why for my Ex I researched very extensively before setting myself on my Stage 1, which is the 2" lift, moderate fender trimming, and 34s. I'm beyond thrilled with how stable it is on the road and not actually looking that modified, while still being a very capable trail rig. I spent a minimal amount of money, 100% clear the exact tire I wanted to run, and didn't spend a lot of money on a massive/expensive lift kit that'll basically be ripped out when I go with a SAS. Like I said, I almost dove into modifying my F, but when it came down to it, I decided I wanted it to retain the stock reliability, at least until it gets plenty more mileage on it. Besides- it's not the one I'm taking offroad, so there's no real point in jumping into modifications before I'm already replacing the parts I'm modifying.

Dude either you traded that f-150 and someone in NY bought it or the guy about ten mins from me copied your old truck because he has the exact truck with the exact extras.. weird, lol! I knew I saw it on here before when he passed me the other day.

Wow that looks amazing
I would have to say my BakFlip tonneu cover. I like the low profile look and its great when traveling out of town cause you can throw all ur s*** in the back, but its a pain to be folding it up and down everytime you wanna use the bed, and i use mine quite a bit too. And now after 3 years its not as good at keeping water out of the bed.
1) toolbox is too small
2) Edge Evolution was a big mistake. Custom tunes are far far far superior.
3) I wish my rims had slightly less backspacing. They look fine up front because of Fabtech's increased track width, but the rears dont stick out quite far enough for me.
4) This isnt really a regret, because I do love my KM2s. They have almost 20k miles and have so much freakin tread left...should last 50k easily. I just wish they were louder.

regret my Supercharger
it was hands down the best mod I have ever done on a vehicle
but
I only had it for 8 months. I spent $3,000 for that blower and the supporting goodies. When I traded in my truck, I essentially lost that money. maybe...maybe I was credited $1,000 in increased trade value.
should have just done the $1,800 35" KM2's and pocketed the rest like my wife was telling me to

Thanks, I might actually regret trading that truck more than anything. I probably would not have traded it if the wheels didn't stick out quite that much. If I had kept it, I would not have a truck payment now. I bought it brand new in 2004, every option except heated seats. MSRP was $39,000 and the payment was only $430 a month. I got more compliments on that truck than any vehicle I have ever owned.
I doubt it, but you never know. I traded it here in TN in May of '07 with 25,000 miles on it.
