Is there such thing as a 2-piece rotor/hub replacement?

Try parts stores for one on loan-a-tool or try a tool/equipment rental center.

This is probably the cheapest one you are going to find if you buy one:

06 2wd screw, 60k miles, have had the shakes for a while but was getting really bad, especially 55-35 and around curves, like off ramps....felt like front end was skipping. i had enough....

i'm not sure if it was bearing or rotor and as i understand the bearing can be replaced now but i don't have a press or access to one...and it seems the oem rotors are suspect anyway.

so i just put on centric 120.65128 (made in china 1931chevy) with oem semi-metallic pads for $300.

easy job even for a noob with no skills...while the kids were down for nap no doubt.

buddy had a 3/4 inch torque wrench so the nut was no biggie at all...lucky for me!

i did the spark plugs last month. it seems like these 2 jobs are the most dreaded by 04-08 owners but with all the details on the forums they are not hard anymore.

thanks to all who contribute!

Those are pictures of the Baer Eradaspeed +1 (15") rotors with hub. I know because that is my truck their on. They are pricey and you need 20" rims to fit them. Mine are still working good. In back of the rotor you will see Russell SS brake lines which I highly recommend.

I took my baer eradispeed rotors off. they were trashed with less than 10000 miles on em. fronts ended up deeply grooved real bad and the slots are just about gone.. and they started to crack from the drilled holes.

Mine have a little over 50K on them, have some grooving. I would like them to last forever, but...

FWIW: I ran my new centric brake/hub setup for one week in my daily commute and I pulled my wheel off to check everything and to my surprise in that one week of my commute I found a lot of dust and sand in the hole of the new hub! It rained hard that week and one day I drove thru rain. So, I measured the inside diameter which was 2.70" and I looked around and found some trailer dust caps for these new hubs. I found some and first made sure they would clear my rims and such. The pair I bought had a 2.72" OD and they would not fit without some slight re-engineering, I took my needle nose pliers and made 3 small recesses evenly spaced on the dust cap lip just to give me enough slake to drive the caps in with my rubber mallet, they fit fine after the adjust. Weather this mod will help save my new bearings or not I don't know but for $5 for the pair, I have some peace of mind about trash and water splashes getting in there. YMMV: use at your own risk!

Yep!! I only got 5k out of a 1 piece hub/rotor/ drilled /slotted and the left side bearings failed Irotors ebay set . The 2nd bad part is I am 400 miles from my house in North FL . The only good part is I am here for 6 weeks and have a company car down here in .So needles to say I will be getting Centric 2 piece up grade kit 127.65128R and L. Sucks I had to by all the tools to do it myself witch I all ready have at home from the last change out .My next up grade will be a black diamond tool box so I never get caught short again with out some of my tools .

I had both my fronts converted to Centric 120.65128 with a set of O'Reilly pads. Picked the Centric kits up for $134.13 (each) with free shipping (Thanks Amazon!). I ordered the Centric kits on March 13

I had a local mechanic swap them out (I didn't trust my skills) at the end of March. I didn't do this 'for the heck of it', though -- I bought my truck used, and knew it had front end damage (there is paint over-spray on the hood stops). The passenger front started making a 'humming' noise that changed pitch as my speeds changed. It got worse as time went on, so I took it in to have it looked at. Ended up having to replace the ball joints on that same side, and the guy told me the wheel bearing was going bad. He offered to replace it with the OEM parts, but I told him no, then went home and ordered up the Centric parts.

So far I have ~2600 miles on them without issues. It'll be interesting to tell the parts guy I have a 2005 2WD, but want the 4WD rotors (assuming I don't order online again)...

I just looked up the kit I purchased -- it's still $134.13 on Amazon, just in case someone is interested...
