speedo fix?

are there any other option to recalibrate the speedo? I changed my wheels to the oem sport 20's w/ the factory 275/55r20 pirelli's. it's taller than the oem 18's.

i know i can either fix it through a programmer, which i don't have or go to the dealership to correct it, which i really don't to spend any more money. are these 2 my only options?

btw the truck looks a million times better w/ the sport 20's.

They make a gadget to recalibrate your speedo, I think it runs about 2 bills. It works kinda like a programmer, but only allows tire size and gear ratio changes. I've also seen a unit that plugs in between your dash cluster and trans to fool the system so you show the correct speed, if your interested in it, I saw it on the jegs website.

I think cost wise, your cheapest option is going to the dealer. The 275/55/20 was a factory option on the FX2's so the dealer should be able to change it no problem.

Any idea of how much the dealer will charge for the recalibration? When I go on long trips I like to keep an eye on my mileage, but its a pain to always calculate the 6% difference in tire size. I think a 100 bucks would be worth it.
