Removing the Silver Interior Dash Panel

The previous owner of my 06 Lariat had something stuck and removed from the silver panel below the 4wd selector switch. I am having trouble locating the name of the piece in order to get a replacement. Can anyone tell me what it is called? Any options for aftermarket parts for this piece? How do you get it off?

Which part?

See the pic below. This is from Tascaparts web site. Parts are under the 2006 collision catalog.

If you are talking part 5 or 6, it is only $23 from Tasca.

sounds like he means in the actual dash, the part with the a/c vent and 4x4 switch, in that case you are out of luck, to replace that you would need to replace the entire dash(all the silver pieces are connected) refer to previoous posters pic (part 1)

Couldn't you just paint it?

Thanks for the diagram. It must be the actual dash unfortunately, b/c it does not show as a part (part between #6 and #8 that the vent and 4wd selector is mounted). I took out the cup holder part, which is the same color/finish and took it to Lowes. They tried to do a color match and I painted the underside of the cup holder. No dice, it wasnt really that close and looked terrible so thats not going to work. I didnt think Ford sold the interior paint for this trim according to my searches. Any other ideas? The area that is scratched up is about 1 3/4 x 2". Maybe a suction cup phone holder? My best idea so far if an aluminum Yamaha logo. Fan of Yamaha in addition to Ford. I wouldnt stick it though, it would have to be removable whatever goes there. Open for suggestions here. Aftermarket over lays for this area?

Roush makes a trim kit that goes right along the dash area to the left and right of the center dash area and the vents. Will this cover your scratch?:

It's on overstock sale right now so get it while you can. There are other variants as well, depending on whether you have a supercrew or supercab, 4x2 and 4x4.

Search for edge pod painting, you'll find the color. Or you could go to a paint store and have them match it
