Keep the truck man. If you are going to go to college or are in it now do the best you can and after get the stang. I want an 03-04 Cobra so bad so if I get through college I will buy it after I get set-up. The truck is too valuable and I could never part with mine. I seriously think you will regret it. Get your exhuast redone like you had planned on and I think that will curb your desire for a while.

Mind me asking how old you are? I'm assuming you're still in high school or maybe a college student. How long do you plan on living with your parents? I dunno if you could manage to land $18k for the truck, but it's worth a shot.

Fact of the matter is.. you're having second thoughts about your truck. That definately means something.. whether you decide to keep it or not, is up to you..

Here's an idea.. this forum tends to cause people to spend more money than they really need to.. I'm sure many will agree.. lol, but seriously, log out now, and don't check the forum for about a week or so.. if you still feel like you need the mustang then feel free to bite the bullet..

I understand.. I think I should do it, and if if I hate it, deal with it for a while, sell it and get a new F150.

I'm in college, but the thing is I really like that body style mustang, and by the time I graduate.. To find a nice mustang with low miles that body style will be almost unheard of! And I even if I wait I'll just throw more money into my truck to make it something it's not.. I don't know.

I'm 19, Sophomore in college.. I'll probably live with my parents til I graduate and possibly after until I get a solid job.. I'm having second thoughts because I'm a wishy washy, regretful person..

Yeah, for me though.. I'm so OCD about modifying cars, trucks anything really that regardless of other peoples influences I influence myself to do things.. I'ma talk to my pops tonight and see what his "words of wisdom" would be.

I've had 2 of the SN95 Mustangs. They are a major PITA to work on, and the gains from MODS SUCK. The 4.6 2v in there is about as responsive as the truck 4.6...about none.

I had a 95, then a 03. and now my 2009 Bullitt. The 2000+ cars have PI heads and 260 HP. Pretty fun little cars, but as mentioned, you will get your behind spanked by damn near every other "Muscle Car".

If you are going to DOWNGRADE to a Mustang...at least get a 2005+. They are much better cars, with more potential. I love my Mustang, but I still miss my FX4. Especially as I see it everyday.

If you are dead-set on this path, I suggest you at least try to do a straight up swap for a 2006/07 GT.

I've had 2 mustangs as well and you do get tired of them after a while. I'm going to have another one someday though. I agree with Tylus. The 05+ cars have a lot of potential. I'd trade the truck for an S197 if you're going to trade at all.

idk, i say keep the truck. if you really look in the long run, a truck will be more valuable than a stang when youre trying to get started after college IMO

I guess you are right, I've noticed the 2000-2004 Mustang GT sounds better? I mean maybe there isn't the aftermarket support for the 05+ Mustangs? But that's one thing I always loved was the SOUND of that Mustang, but if you have direct knowledge of them, you know more than me

I just wish I could have a play toy and my truck, but not an option right now.

I have to agree with you, it's more logical, just sucks.. Maybe i'll just do minor things to my truck and save up and buy a Mustang for fun.

Keep the truck and get a Stang. I did it in reverse. I had a Stang and just bought a truck. Now I have the best of both

The sound of the 99-04 Mustangs are heaven. I agree with that.

99-04 GT sound great with Flowmaster
