No Longer an F150 Owner

First off thanks to all you on this site for the help building out my truck with all the write ups and questions answered. This is great group of people on this site and thanks to the guys that run it.

I recently moved to Colorado and decided I wanted 4 wheel drive to have around, so I bought a Jeep, but I didn't enjoy driving it everyday and having two car and insurance payments so traded in the F150 for an 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 and I'm selling the Jeep. The ford was great but just decided to go with something a little different.

The Good Stuff!

2009 GMC Sierra SLT ext. cab 4x4

6" ProComp Lift, Moto Metal 18" wheels and 35x12.50 ProComp extreme A/T's
Flowmaster dual exhaust, step bars, tint and clear bra.

I wish I has a dime for every time I've heard that! This is vehicle #20 in 10 years.

Just curious.............having owned both trucks, what are some of the bigger differences in the two? Besides looks, whats better as far as engine, suspension, comfort, etc. Nice truck by the way, but I think you'll be back!!!

At the very least you got a GMC and not a Chevy. What size engine did you end up going with?

Having been a GMC man most of my life, I have greatly enjoyed the ownership of my 07 SCREW since July. Yes, it rides a bit harder than a GMC but I like it. Both are fine choices!! Both will do the job!! It gets down to personal preferences. Both have issues and both break from time to time. I have only found that the GMC tends to hold it resale value a bit better.

Enjoy your new truck and come back to visit….

For me the GM trucks have a little more head room and are more comfortable for me to drive. They also seem to have a little more sold ride than the ford. I have had 2 F150's and a F250, a 07 Tundra and a couple GM's. the GM's for me hold there value better than anything, but I loved this last F150 too. I just wanted something new with some good rebates to get rid of some negative on my trade and GM had the best options and I don't like the 09 F150's at all.

The new GA tag is on the way, but I might return it after the stellar performance the Dawgs put on today. It is going to be a tough year or two!

Thought about that, but no mater how many times I washed it just wouldn't turn into a 4x4
