FX4 Sticker

I got some fx4 stickers laying around that I was gonna put on my lariat. whats the best way to take the 4x4 sticker off and where exactly does the fx4 sticker go to give the factory location?

use a hairdryer and a fingernail... mine came off with ease... let it sit in the sun all day.. and just use hairdryer for extra heat and should come off with little to no residue

you can put painters tape to go under the current decal to mark it. then you can do what shanks said. use goo gone to get the rest off. if you do wash the area after.

Maybe I'm missing the point... but why are you gonna put FX4 decals on your Lariat? That's like me putting Roush badges on my non-Roush FX4.

Unless of course you've changed the suspension and added skid plates...

x2... I have put many XLT, FX4, Lariat, and Roush parts on my truck, but I don't claim that it is not an XL.

cuz I have a fx4 grille and Im eventually going to get white bumpers so I will look like a fx4. Not many people will now the difference. I hate chrome and should have gotten an fx4 but my truck is almost paid for.

Maybe he likes the fx4 stickers better whats the big deal? The stock xlt 4x4 stickers look like crap compared to the fx4 ones.

Why not just go for the clean look? I like my FX4 decals but finally bit the bullet and took them off with the plan of getting new ones made up. Once i get bored of the look i'll get black ones made up.

If I went and put Foose, Roush, Lingenfelter or some other high end manuf. badges on my FX4... would you think it's wrong?

I just don't like "misrepresentation". Just my .02

A few weeks ago after I had my flares painted and my mirror caps done, someone suggested I change out my fender badges for lariat ones cause my truck looks more like a lariat now. He said most would never notice, only I would know. I didn't do it because I would know it was fake, and I don't want to be poser.

x2! Took me three years.. but I finally gathered up the courage to remove my FX4 stickers. I had thought about it since day one, but was worried it wouldn't look right. Now that I've done it, I wish I'd of done it years ago. I like the clean look.... but its a just a matter of personal preference. Both look good!

I agree, I would like to remove my 4x4 sticker if I could muster up the confidence. I like the clean look.
