sputter!
My truck has a sputter when it drops into passing gear. any ideas on what it could be? plugs are brand new

Sounds like fuel filter..these trucks seem to need them changed frequently.
Also clean your maf if you havent done that in awhile.
There is also a pcm flash update for this type of issue, but check the easiest things first.

dont forget air filter. but I suspect fuel filter as well
