PICS: Let's Play "Spot the Tonneau Cover"
Can you spot the cover?

I gained a respectible 2 MPG and now my bed doesn't flop around like it used to. And Scott's craftsmanship is excellent along with his painter (his work makes me want to paint the rest of the rind-ripple truck). The best $1240 mod I've spent thus far. |
looks nice n clean bud. How strong is it for being so thin?

I was up on it during the install no problem, and I think you could probably get a few guys to stand on it without bending. |
owww nice. i thought it would be fiberglass. Thats sweet its aluminum, dont have to worry about cleaning the snow off it everyday
And once again, the truck looks sick |
thats a dang nice lookin cover!
|
damn that looks sweet! Im usually not fan of covers because they stick up high and look awkward but yours looks sick! nice job
|
Love the cover and truck looks great man
|
That's a good looking cover!
|
Yupp, looks nice. Quite shiny !!
|
I found it! I found it! It's on top of the bed!!!! WooooHooo!! Looks great too!
|
Thanks everyone! But the real thanks goes to Scott over at LT Sport Cover. He's got one heck of a product for sure. :beers:
|
Post some close-up pictures of it around the tailgate and bed rail areas, as well as some shots of it in the open position. I just bought a new Snug Top for my 2009 Ranger (it was the best looking of all the fiberglass covers I looked at) but that looks to be an even tighter fit!

Truck looks great and that cover is awesome. I'd need more proof, though, to believe your 2 mpg increase. Unless you go 70 mph everywhere, it should not have made that big of a difference. Maybe you're taking it easy on the pedal with the new cover?
I have a retractable cover so when it's pulled back it's very similar in terms of aerodynamics and I didn't notice an increase at all. |

That's up from 23.7 MPG. I do this trip regularly. Average mileage in pure city is 18.5, up almost 2 from 16.7. If anyone wants a ride they certainly can. 4x2 with 3.73 gears, street tires, Roushcharged and Roush factory drop suspension. Now, you might not get any gains I am with a lifted truck and large tires, but you can certainly try. I will also get some photos here up close here soon. mxracer49, LOL! |
