Starter motor control + (whats this?)

im looking over a diagram for 2008 F-150/Mark LT - C290A Connector. This is the 24 pin that goes into the back of your factory radio or Navigation.

pin 15
Circuit 325 (DB-OG)
18 Guage
Starter Motor Control +

Does anyone know what this does or where it goes?

in my 2005 version of the same connector my pin 15 wire is;
pin 15
Circuit 1000 (RD-BK)
20/22 Guage
Voltage Supplied in Start overload protected.

I think it protects the radio from the surge when starting the truck.

Both seem to say the same thing, at least that is the way I am interpreting it.
