Switch Panel

I have been browsing this forum for a while just never made a name. I did this and a few other things and figured I would share. I really wanted to do this mod for a while because I recently had all my switches below my dash, but never got around to it. Before this I had my switches under my dash and I had to bend down to get them. I simply dismantled my ash tray and took the front face plate off of it. Drilled holes and ran wires. I am thrilled with the results. They light up too. Blue, green, red, green, blue. KC lights, inverter, A/C Efan, ?, Strobe lights.

I will have to get a pic of behind my dash one day. It looks like a wire monster threw up, lol.

No I took out the ash tray and removed the front face plate of it. It just took a lot of grunting and prying but it popped right off. I was going to cut something to put in its place but couldnt find anything. So I just used the stock one. Lol. I just used velcro to secure it to the wall that way I can remove it.

Not a bad job at all. Although I would of probably would of used a small piece of plexi painted black instead. But that's just me not messing up something that would be a pain to replace.

I looked at getting plexi panel but wanted to keep the clean look. I dont plan on starting to smoke or getting rid of the truck so it doesnt matter. And for the flush mount switches. I may still get those but the cheapest I could find for ones I liked were $21 a piece. That is over a $100 for just switches. Lol.

I dont like purchasing stuff on ebay, lol. But I tried radioshack. And the only switches I liked other than these are marine grade switches. That is why they are so expensive.

Check out allelectronics.com
Here are their rocker switches they don't have that exact one but some pretty close for only like $2 ea.

Here's the one I'm talking about, it's on page 2 of the link above.

Mouse.com will have it but they have everything electronic. 300 pages of just rocker switches. That's a lot of fishing.
