Question What the heck is this?

Ive asked ford, muffler shops, body shops, anyone i can and ive searched all over the internet and this site and still cant find anything.

its right behind my shackle on the drivers side mounted to the frame it looks like a big rubber wheel and it does not have any wires, hoses, cables going to it. anyone know what it is?

both are from laying on my back under my truck

I think it might be a vibration damper or something like that.

I THINK I have one of those, maybe it's a 2005 thing? I'm out of town but I get home tomorrow and I'll check and let you know.

its a vibration dampener, they have an updated one out, but its not hurting anything. you could remove it but you might get a weird vibration at highway speeds
