Just reading the auction:
I personally, am not a fan of bull bars. I prefer the look of a push bar like Go Rhino or Westin makes (what you see on the front of cop cars). With that said, it's your truck and if you think you can make it work, go for it.
*WILL NOT FIT FX2 SPORT MODELS*
All you need to do is swap your lower valance with one from a 4x4. Here is everything you need. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...subcat1=102304 Don't buy the tow hooks, you'll just have to take them off to mount the bull bar anyway. Then sell your FX2 lower valance and recoup the cost of the 4x4 lower. Whatever you do, just don't butcher the FX2 lower, it's too valuable as is.
I traded my fx2 lower valance for an stx valance with another member on here. you can save some money that way. bull bars look good on certain vehicles. guess you never know until you get it on there

well,.. my Fx2 is leveled by 2 inch and it looks pretty sharp. Now my question, since the truck is made for the streets, what else is differetn beside a regular f-150 truck 2008? .. there is no change in the transmission/gears correct?
I will put in a pic of my leveled fx2...

Mechanically, nothing. An FX2 is basically an appearence package available on 2wd XLT's. Here are the highlights.
Exterior; Special grey FX2 grill, special painted FX2 lower valence, PTM handles w/keypad, PTM mirror skull caps, PTM running boards, exclusive 18" wheels with 265/60/18 tires. 20's were optional. 2007 only got the same 20" wheel that was available on FX4's and lariats with the same 275/55/20 pirelli tire. The 08's got a special 20" wheel, it's the same wheel that was for the proposed lightning that was never built in a narrowed down size 20"x8.5" to fit 2wd and the center was painted gray. Look at GCW's truck, he has them.
Interior; The same black interior that came in an FX4 with special seat covers for the FX2. The flow thru console was standard only on scab and screw models, the regular cabs got a column shift with 40/20/40 seats. Also on scab and screws the cluster has a sport emblem in the middle of it, where as the FX4's had FX4 there.
Except where it would interfere with the FX2 package, any standard XLT option was available on an FX2 such as audiophile radio, sunroof, power sliding rear window, back up sensors, etc.
Fx2's only came in black, white, bright red, redfire, and dark shadow gray. So if you run across a blue one or green or silver it's probably a fake. Look for the black interior, not just the seats, but the door panels, trim panels, carpet and dash for determine if its a real one.
