275000 and i have a problem in 4th at 45-55 mph under light accel/light load. squeeze the go pedal for a torque converter unlock or press the od off to get into 3rd and the problem goes away. i have a miss under hard accel that appears as a random misfire but when the problem in the trans is evident there is no fault codes. the trans has been flushed but is due again. last time i had the dealer do it, this time i will as i am curious to whats on the magnet and such.

Sounds like your problem is a miss not trans related. My 05 would do that same thing you described, changed plugs and the problem went away. By the way your going to get flake for opening up a old thread lol

I just test drove a 2005 f150 5.4L auto transmission with 86,000+ miles today. While driving it up hill at about 20mph, it felt like it was slipping. The dealership is going to have their service team reinspect it tomorrow. It almost sounds like this truck is doing what the first guy was asking about. Has anyone else had this issue at this speed or gear range.
