Question Best aftermarket rotors and pads.

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. I've recently added a rather large front bumper to the truck and I've noticed a difference in my ability to stop quickly. In addition, Ford tells me one of my rotors is warped. Does anyone recommend a certain aftermarket rotor and/or pad?

Thanks for your time,
Anthony

I personally like EBC pads and rotors as they are the same size as stock but offer improved braking performance. If you have a deep wallet you could always go Brembo, Stoptech, Wilwood or something like that.

You need to use the search feature on this site as this topic has been covered many times. Not trying to flame, just trying to inform, that's all. There are many opinions here. As far as pads are concerned, Wagner Thermo Quiets and Carquest Blue Semi-Metallic pads seem to be high on the list. Rotors? I love my Power Slot Cryo rotors. So much better than OEM. I replaced mine about 1 year into owning my truck.

Baer brakes makes a larger than stock kit that uses the stock caliper and pads. It gives you a 15" rotor versus the stock 13" and a bracket to relocate the stock caliper. Baer says you need a 20" wheel to clear, and I think they run about 7 bills for 2wd and 5 bills for 4x4 version. And of course you can use any stock replacement pad with them such as EBC, hawk or whatever.

Just looked them up, straight from baer's site

The downside of the search button is that our trucks are 5 years old and sometimes, new and improved products come out that weren't previously available and/or in use at the time of the older threads.

How much did the Power Slots cost you?

I paid around $110???? per rotor for my Power Slots. May seem pricey, but they are excellent!!! Check Autoanything for prices as well as AJUSA.com

I've replaced my stock rotors and pads with EBC around 2yrs ago, love'm, stops much better, the best thing is "No Brake Dust".
Don't recall just who I got them from, I shoped around someplace online, I think I payed around $650 - $700 for everything, thats both Ft & Rr.

Thanks dude.

I'll be driving through constant wet conditions at varying speeds with varying loads. Does that change anything?
