Sputtering, stuttering, hesitating, wtf ever you want to call it...

So jesus christ, Aater $2500 transmission 2 weeks ago, $300 throttle body last week, I now have this severe sputtering/vibration and my truck is running very rough.

No CELs, no codes, nothing. Just a diesel sounding truck and severe sputtering.

Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem!! I got an edge and it comes up w/ codes sometimes when it does this saying something bout "throttle actuator: forced limited power" and another code also, and my truck will randomly die on my at stop lights, i've already been through 2 throttle bodies and it will work fine for a week or two then start up again.

I am trying to pin point this problem myself since ford can't. Do you have a chip if so what kind? and also exhaust?

I got an Edge evolution in my 2004 5.4 and have had it installed since I bought the truck almost 2 years ago, this problem didn't start until a few months ago though. I did have true dual exhaust done a few months ago too but it still has the front two cats on it just no resonator or muffler. I put a muffler on it last week hoping it will fix it but no luck.

I'm gonna take it to Ford first chance I get though and ask them WTF is wrong w/ my POS.

Does anybody at all on this entire forum have any clue whats going on or what can fix this? any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Hobie.

check engine light came on... indicated "cylinder 6 misfire", so its at my guy's shop getting it done. if its not one thing, its another.FORD has lived up to its anagram... fix or repair DAILY.

and hjd... i replaced my thrpottle body last week and it solved that problem, it's the TPS that goes bad... that worked for me, good luck with yours! perhaps its your pedal sensor

well thats what I have heard about them that its the TPS sensor and it seems like it would be that the way that it acts since it works perfectly fine after each time I got a new throttle body assembly but IDK why it keeps going bad, we are on number 3 right now which leads me to believe maybe its my pedal sensor

but if it was my pedal sensor then it would screw up all the time including when I got a new throttle body on it so idk i'm so confused with this truck and its stupid electronic everything.
