Mark LT Handle Fragments
Mark LT Handle Fragments
Hey Guys,
I have an '06 F150 SCab (dark blue metallic - UUMM) and want the PTM handles. I found them on Tasca as Dark Blue Pearl. Please tell me if the following assumptions/statements are correct:
1. Dark blue pearl for the Lincoln is the same F-150 blue - UUMM?
2. I don't currently have a keyless entry pad, but will I have the wiring harness in the door even if it didn't come with the truck?
2b. If that is the case, I can just look for the code behind the back seat or for a code card in my manual to get it programmed?
What is typically the easiest route? To just buy the Mark LT's or to do PTM from a body shop?
Finally, does anyone have any pics of an F150 with chrome rockers. I am torn as to whether or not I should do it and want to see one with them first.
Thanks!

1. yes the dark blue pearl is the same on the 150's as the lincoln it's paint code DX but yours is an 06 so you have what ford called "true blue". The 04,5,6's got true blue, while the 07,8's got dark blue pearl. The two colors are similar, but if you put the DBP handles on a true blue truck, the differences are night and day.
2. If your truck is an XLT and you have power locks and a keyfob, then there is a good chance you will have the harness in the door already. When you look for the 5 digit code on the box behind the seat, if its there and you have the harness in the door, then its about a 90% chance the handle w/keypad will be plug and play. 1 in 10 shot you will need it programmed if you have all the hardware already.
Since they don't make LT's in your color, your best bet is to either buy the PTM's since they are already smooth and ready for paint and add chrome straps to them or buy the cheapest set of LT's (different colors have different prices) and have them repainted.
And finally, I think I'm the only one on here who has a dark blue pearl truck with the LT handles, so here is a pic.

cheapest LT's are the redfire color, paint code "G2" they are actually cheaper than the ptm's
