Installing Trailer Brakes

Did a search, didnt find anything specific....bought a trailer awhile back with electric brakes, but the guy i bought it from @ the dealership looked in / at my truck and said he couldnt hook up a brake box b/c i needed to get some type of crossover harness from the ford dealership (i bought truck 2nd hand)......Anyone got a clue?? I know trucks, not electricals

There is a wiring pig tail that gets wired up to the brake controller and then plugs in under that dash. It is located between the gas pedal and the tranny hump, from what I can remember it is gray in color and about 3/4" square. I would think that the pig tail would be a in stock item for most dealers.

if your truck has the tow package it should have the plug... Its where PHS79 said but its right behind, kinda tucked up under the dash. Took me awile to find mine

If you buy an odyssey prodigy brake controller they offer a plug for it that plugs directly into your factory wiring. I bought mine from etrailer.com and can switch it between my superduty and my f150.
