I take it you have an XLT and you want the FX4 carbon fiber trim around the radio? Well, ford did make FX4's without the flow thru console and standard FX4's have manual HVAC controls so if you find the right one, it will be a simple swap with your plain XLT radio bezel.

First place I would try would be your local boneyards. Look for an FX4 with the regular dash like yours with the column shift, hint, all regular cab FX4's have what you need, you just have to find one.

He can't use either one of those, they are both out of an FX4 with a flow thru console, he needs the other style that has the bend in it to follow the conture of the dash like XL, STX, and XLT have.

i was wondering if the flow thru dash would fit a regular dash. they look the same but im not 100%. ill swing by my local junk yard and check for one. i know theres a reg cab fx4 but i think that piece is already gone out of it.

I've been looking for the same thing. They pop up on ebay every once in a while. Try searching for FX4 trim, or Bezel. Sometimes they want too much $ for them though. These are some nice 3D molded kits that would work for you, http://www.carid.com/home.php?cat=8093 (Ignore the stick on pic at the top of the page.) Oh and yes it does have to be reg. cab.

well i had no idea it had to be a reg. cab so thats cool that you all knew. i wish the junkyards around here had "nice" vehicles, they are all POS cars and old *** vans. i saw the 3D trim but thats the whole console and i just want the bezel, and its like a sticky vinyl that i dont want. i guess ill have to find someone who has one and is willing to get rid of that part. thanks for all the info

I think you misunderstood, scab and screw FX4's can have it also. Basically you need to find one that has the standard dash, not the flow thru console. The flow thru was optional in scab and screw FX4's, you could not get the flow thru in a reg cab. About 90% of scab and screw FX4's have the flow thru and only 10% have the standard dash like yours, whereas all reg cabs have it.

You can also try tascafordparts.com they have it listed new for 70 bucks, but make sure you tell them you have the standard dash so you get the right one.

if you got an all black on wanna trade mine for yours? I dont like the carbon on it bc its the only thing inside the truck that has carbon on it. What about the plastic trim around the carbon the grey can you easily change that out with black as well?

if you're talking about the piece that the a/c vents are in, then no thats part of the whole dash.
