Roll Up Tonneau Cover

I have an 04 6.5ft stepside bed. I want a rollup cover so it is easily opened up all the way. What kind of deals have you guys gotten...?

Not a price quote, but I'd recommend the Access cover if you want a soft roll up. I purchased mine right after buying my truck in 2001. I highly recommend them.

I paid 20 bucks for an extang new freedom used, sucked because once it was off unless it was 80 degrees it wouldn't go back on

I have a Truxedo Lo-Pro paid 4 bills for it new back in 05 and it has been thru 4 cleveland winters so far and still going strong. I can open it up winter or summer and still close it, it has spring loaded tensioners that are adjustable.

I think the soft tri-fold's are a better way to go... easy to get it off to get to all your stuff and no snaps or T-channels to screw with.

I just picked one up used for $165 off craigslist.

I have had 2 different access covers on 3 different trucks. They are an awesome cover and are pretty much water tight. They will leak around the rear near the tailgate, but not really enough to hurt anything. I looked at other covers but decided on the access due to how well constructed it is and how easily it opens and closes. My current cover is almost 4 years old and still looks brand new, except for a few scrapes from hauling lumber.

I have the Truxedo Lo-Pro and love it!! I have not had any problems what so ever with it. It opens and closes just as good when the temps are -10* as it does when it is 90* out. Plus I have never had any issue with water getting inside the bed. I paid $320 for it over 3 yrs ago from autoanything.com, they had a couple different promotions going the day that I bought it, so thats the reason that I got it so cheap. I know now they are around the 450 range. The biggest reason that I got the Lo-Pro is because I didn't like how the Access and the regular Truxedo stuck up above the bed, and with the Lo-Pro it is barely noticeable from 10-15' away. Take a look at the last pic to see what I mean.
Here are a coupe pics of it.

I think it was AutoAnywhere or something like that. Found it on the web and I didn't bookmark it. I can get the receipt tonight and post the info if you like. I rounded it up, actually it was $299 with free shipping.

Paul

Update: found it, it was AutoAnything.com. I put a couple of tips in the review that might help if you get this model of cover.

I second this recommendation. I installed this same unit on my 95 SCab the day after I bought it and have never had trouble with it. It is a tight fit opening and closing the bed extender I later installed but both will work.

Cleveland winters are nothing like ours (I was stationed in Painsville and Parma in 1969) but mine has held up well. It has never failed to easily close or open. The cover was on special and I think I paid about $300 or so for it in June, 2005.

After quite a bit of research, I went with both of your recommendations. I paid $461.90 from autoanything.com.
I really liked the Bakflip HD, but with a flairside, you are limited on what is availiable. I'll let you know how I like it in a couple of weeks.

My Truxedo Lo Pro QT arrived today and it is now installed. So far I am very impressed with the ease of installation, the quality, and the looks of it installed. No pictures necessary because it looks just like PHS79's. By the way, thank you PHS79 for your recommendation. Road test to follow, but I will be shocked if I am not completely satisfied. If any of you are looking for a roll up cover, give Truxedo a consideration.
