*update*
Just picked up my truck Friday from carmax. Its georgeous. I feel like the coolest guy on the road. Im taking the truck to the beach in RI today (carmax honors a 5 day money back gaurantee so I have to put some miles on it to find stuff wrong) The onlyyyy issue I am probably going to take it back to get looked at is when I go into or out of the defrost settings it makes a growling? noise comming from the defroster vents on the dash....Dash to floor n/p, Dash+floor to dash n/p, but adjusting vents out of or into the defroster vents makes a noise, almost like it is struggling to open or close. (2005 STX 4.6 no mods) Well any advice would be great but Im going to post pics Sunday to show it off!
Welcome
Welcome and congrats on your truck.
Now is when you find out what your parents were talking about when they told you to have restraint. If it didn't sink in, take your credit cards, atm and check book and lock them in a box and have the dog guard it for you. They can become money pits if you don't plan and schedule your purchases
It's always hard to tell need from want, but like I tell my kids: needs come first. Wants you can schedule, you can't always do that with needs.
There's always something that can suck your wallet dry, just plan it and you'll keep yourself out of divorce court.
Congrats and good luck
Paul

First off, congrats on the new ride, looks really nice
The growling noise is pretty common w/the hvac system in the 05. Sounds like it's the blend door binding up and struggling. Do a search on it for "hvac growling" or "hvac blend door" to get a better understanding of this common issue. Take a hour to educate yourself about it so when you take it back you'll have a better idea about what's going on.
We'll see ya' around
