So doing this fender Gotts-like MOD won't hurt anything but may actually inrease response minimally, especially if I add a MAGNAFLOW DUELS and NO programmer, right?

No, cutting the baffles off does not void your warr. Yes you are correct, removing the baffles only changes the sound. Yes you can do both if you wish, I did on my old truck.
BTW you can alter or tune the sound after you cut off the baffles. Just plug some or all of the holes left in the side of the intake tube to tune the sound to your liking.
