Looking to Buy First F150

Would like to get a 2005 or 2006 F150 model, V8, would like to have 4WD for $13,000 out the door. Does this seem like a reasonable price?

What options/mileage were you looking for with that price? It is reasonable but will not get you tons of options and/or the mileage will be higher then the average of 12,000 a year.

SuperCab, A/C for sure, power windows. Enough comfort for a 6 hour trip. I plan on mostly using it as a work truck to haul lumber, mulch, etc. for the weekend warrior stuff. Four-wheel-drive would be nice but not required. If the price difference is under $1,000 then I would go for 4WD.

The difference between two wheel drive and 4 wheel drive will most likely be more than $1000. If it not, better check out that 4x4 very carefully...

I agree with Green. If you find a 05-06 4wd scab with 70k miles or below at that price you did very well. Used truck prices around here have really took off in the past 6 months. At that price it won't be at a dealer.
