Dumb Doorlock question
Dumb Doorlock question
Sorry if this has been discussed, didn't come up with anything via search. First off, my 97 has power locks but no fobs: key lock on each front door. My wifes Grand Marquis has power locks with fobs: key lock on each front door. NTM 2007 F150 SCab with power locks and fobs but no drivers door Keypad, went to open the passenger door with a key yesterday: no key lock on the passenger door. It's not like the hole was plugged, the door handle doesn't appear to even have provisions for a key lock.
Since when did they do away with the key lock on the passenger door? Or is that only if you get the fob? I never even noticed it missing till now, then again I didn't think I needed to look for it.
Just Curious as obviously it's something I'll need to live with.

Well I don't know when they did away with it, but I know that most of the vehicles doesn't have them anymore that comes with fobs/keypad. My 06 doesn't have the keyhole for the passenger side either
From what I know, the 04-up 150's have a keyhole on both doors on the lower end models (XL, STX) because they do not have power locks. On XLT's and up come with power locks standard and keyfobs so they only get one keyhole on the drivers door.
My '08 STX Scab has key holes on each door in the bottom corner of the door handle. I had power locks installed aftermarket so I don't use them.
