This is proving my point about rear seats in a truck !

{yes, this is a rant..... so if these kinds of posts bother you, stop reading here

Okay, so basically, I got my 08' fairly late in 08'. In fact, they had already quit making 08's, and were tooling up for the 09's. Point being, to get the options I wanted, full carpeting, Stone Green paint, cruise control, etc, I had no choice but to get a Supercab. I still say a reg cab would have been fine, but I had my arm twisted.

So anyway, I knew before I got it home, I'd be yanking out that worthless rear seat really soon. And I did. Problem is, this bulky peice of garbage has been cluttering my room for several months now ! I've put it on Craigs list > I swear, 15 X's ! with zero success.

The thing is, I'm sure if I called Ford and asked, they'd tell me this seat costs like $800 or something rediculous.... So I can't see just throwing it in a dumpster.... but I'm about to.

I've asked at least 10 Supercab owners > "Hey BTW, I see you have an 04'-08' F150 Supercab.... You wouldn't happen to need a brand spanking new, never sat in rear seat, would you" ?
To which they either just said, "No"..... or (and here's the fun one) "No, my back seat is fine, but my front ones are detstroyed" ! To which I'm thinking, "Well yea ! That's because hardly anybody ever uses stupid **** rear seats in a truck" ! And BTW, WTF did you buy a Supercab for anyway ?

Who me ? Because I had my arm twisted, that's why ! And now I'm stuck with this worthless POS rear seat that nobody wants !

Okay, I'm better now :-)

Peace,
Fish

Oh hey.... how much would I have to "pay" one of you Supercab owners to come take this rear seat away ? (only half joking).

If you ever sell your truck, you may want to put it back in... Keep it you never know...

Bjp > It is gray ! (light charcoal actually) From what I hear, it's the most popular color for F150 interiors, and I STILL can't get rid of it !

Hey JD, I know.... I always hear people talk about resale value, but I've never bought a vehicle, which I did not drive until the wheels were ready to fall off, and of which the resale value was any more than $50 at the wrecking yard. I use em' until they are gone. Then throw em' away and get a new one.
BTW JD, that's a good looking S-cab you got there

Peace,
Fish

I do use my back seat for people and my dog. I got a scab because it had all of the options I wanted and I probably could not afford a comparable screw that I don't really need.

Give me 50 bucks and ship it to me on your dime and I'll take it off your hands.

We use 'em for seats in the BED at the local bogs. They work frickin great (with just a little mod so the damn thing doesn't fall over).

Put a couple of them on risers in the bed and have stadium seating.

Hey BJP, I know why you thought that > Because that's what color my interior "should have been" ! I mean come on... a brown (Stone Green) truck with gray interior ? Who the heck thought of that ? In fact, I almost declined on the truck because of that. But in the end, I decided that you wouldn't ever see the gray interior from the outside, when I was driving down the road.... and you really don't see the brown paint when your sitting inside the truck... So.....

Yetti, I think your dog would be fine back there, with just flat, wide open space. I had actually planned a flat, carpeted, false floor, and rear wall "before" I ever thought about filling half of my open space with stereo equipment. It looked great too. Almost hated to lose so much of that open space to stereo.... But that's been fun too.

GTRider, I don't know if you were just being funny, but honestly, I need a small couch for my room ! I need to look at this thing again :-) Will post pictures if I do it :-)

Peace,
Fish
