Two days ago my driver side window stopped working so i've been parking the truck in the garage and as i backing out this morning i wasn't paying close enough attention and ended up demolishing my driver side mirror
anybody know about how much a new mirror costs or know anybody have an extra one laying around??

I knocked out my passenger mirror a couple years ago. I found one on Ebay(power/no signal) for $65. It's been on for about 2yrs and I can tell the plastic is already fading. As for replacement removing the door panel is the "hardest" part. It's really not a big job. I think it should take a 6mm,8mm and maybe a 13mm. I don't remember for sure.

Do you need just the glass, or did you f-up the whole housing?

i know how you feel. Mine was parked on the street an it got side swiped by someone. Destroyed my driver side mirror, that was it. Luckily they missed the paint and fender, but it was a hit an run. also heated, signal and power. they are hard to find. LMC has em, 200 a piece though you might try a junkyard but be careful, they tend to "tell" you they have the part and they send you a mirror off a 99 or something.

Try your local pick-a-part, that should be the cheapest place. A new one will run you a couple bills. That specific mirror is known as the deluxe mirror, was standard on lariats, and optional on FX4's and xlt's. If your pick-a-part only has stx's or xl's, they don't have them. Any year from 04-08 scab or screw will fit. Once you get the door panel off, there is 3 bolts and a harness plug and it will come right off.
