05 in need of some cosmetics

I am considering purchasing an 05 but it needs some tlc. The previous owner didn't care for her too well. He was a smoker and there are holes in the cloth interior and carpet. Also, some scratches on the exterior. My thoughts are to fix the scratches and line-x some of the scratches on the lower side. I know what that will cost to do that but don't know what it will cost to fix interior. Who are the best suppliers for parts on these trucks? I would like to put in a new carpet kit and replace the cloth on the seats. Not sure if I want cloth or leather. What are some suppliers and costs for (1) carpet, (2) cloth replacement for seats, (3) leather replacement for seats. It is a supercab

Check a junkyard for carpet, check the classifieds or newtakeoff.com for seat covers, or if you want really good leather, katzkins.com, if the headliner bad too? Check junkyards for those as well

What are your plans for this truck? If its a work truck leave the carpet and get mats. If not get new carpet, you dont want to do all this work to install crappy used rugs. Now this is just my opinion but Katskins suck, I wont go into a long discusion about them but there are better seat cover companys that will change the whole look of your interior. As for the scratches I dont know how bad they are but a good detailer might be able to remove or remove and conceal the scratches to where they are acceptable at a fraction of the price. Good luck with the truck and post some pics.

the truck will not be a work truck but will be my daily driver. Thus, I want it to be as nice as possible and to tell you the truth I think that I would prefer new cloth interior over leather because I have kids and it seems to weather and clean better over time. I did find carpet kits at stockinteriors.com. any comments on quality? haven't been able to find replacement cloth yet so might just go with leather. its funny that someone didn't like katzkin. I thought everyone loved them. I did find new roush seats on some site but I dont like those at all. ugly ugly ugly imo. will keep looking. thanks all.

Lol I had Katskins in 3 cars/trucks and they are garbage. If you do a search you will find a lot of people dont care for them. Good luck with the truck. If you get stock cloth seat covers make sure to scotch guard them because the stock cloth stains very easy.
