Help! OD button is stuck

Hello all. Well, I accidentally spilled coffee into my gear shifter of my 2005 F150 FX4 Supercrew. It is the center console shifter. I cleaned it up as best I could and did not think any got into the overdrive button. Well, I needed the OD off this week and pushed the button. The od signaled off on the dash, but the button stayed depressed. I had to push it down hard and pry it up with a knife to get it to disengage. The button has lost its "spring." I removed the console around the shifter to try to get to the button, but looking at it from underneath, it does not appear to come out. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Think of it as cleaning a contact... in which, that is what it is. Rubbing alcohol will break down what ever is in there, and allow it to be easily carried away using a rag or even a Q-Tip.

Plus the alcohol will dry VERY quick, leaving no sticky residue.
