Weird Problem...

So I've had the truck for about 13mo now... and this has only happened 4 times... but I'll slow down turn into a business or drive through and the truck will die... then it will fire back up right after that.... what could be the problem??

Like I'll turn.. then go to hit the gas and nothing.. truck shut off... all the radio and everything works.. but then I'll turn the key and it will start right back up... and no problems.. I'm baffled..

shanks, mine did that last summer. I had my IWE solenoid fail along with the check valves fail, when they fixed all that, my stalling issue disappeared. Don't know if it was related to the iwe problems or not, but I'm thinking it was.

If you have a cutom tune I'd venture to guess that is the cause, it would take precedence over Þhe stock tune

contact vmp tuning to see if they could do anything, that sounds like a programming error to me, IWE is Integrated Wheel End solenoid, engages the 4x4 hubs. not really related to stalling, but maybe it is?

okay I'll try emailing justin at VMP and see if he can help me out. Hopefully it is just a minor programming error and that takes care of it..

Hey guys I emailed Justin at VMP and this is what he said...

Hey, I could add a little more fuel at idle, between the intake, and possibly having ethanol in the fuel that leans it out, it may cause the stall…

Do you have ethanol there?

Im not sure if Indiana has it or not. I dont see anything or haven't noticed anything on the pumps about E10 or whatever... Do any of you guys know or where to look it up? I usually fill up at BP, Shell, or Marathon and run 93/92 if that helps.. Thanks guys

And if he did this would I feel the difference or see any less in mpg? I wouldn't think so but then again I dont know
