Engine Rev during low rpms
Engine Rev during low rpms
Ever since I put my exhaust on I've noticed that when driving at very low speeds, 10-20mph in a neighborhood, and barely having my foot on the accelerator when the transmission goes to shift to the next gear the engine revs like it didn't find the gear or something.....It probably happened before but its more noticable with the exhaust. Thoughts on whats going on? Does anyone else have this problem? Is this my transmission slipping?
That may be the coast clutch. It's designed to work that way. Your just noticing it more now because your on the gas more. It is more noticeable at some speeds than it is at others, like 10 - 20 is very noticeable.
The coast clutch disengages for coasting. When you get on the gas it has to engage the torque converter again. Just give it a soft rev to engage it.

i had the same thing happen to my 08, but there was a TSB on it and i was fixed. had something to do with a new tranny update. i cant find where i saved the info and i think is was only for some f150s. worth looking into!!!
