Welcome and we need pics!

If you decide to go with the K&N intake be sure and get a tuner with custom tunes as cold air intakes tends to make these trucks run lean.

Welcome to the site! Just a note of caution, if you have the 5.4, you may want to delay the CAI until you have a custom tune. You may run lean without a tune.

Haha too late for that. My mom thinks I'm crazy and my dad is starting to get jealous, haha.

I've got the 4.6
Would this cause the same thing? And this may seem stupid but what does it mean to, "run lean"? I'm new to this stuff, haha.

And thanks everyone!

Oh and a side-note;
Got my exhaust done today. I dropped it off at the shop at 8am and I got a call at noon sayin it was all-set. All custom-bent stainless pipes, 18" Magnaflow SI/DO, and 3" slashed rolled tips behind either wheel. Sounds mean

Running lean is when your air/fuel ratio is off. You have too much air going into the cylinders in relation to the amount of gas. It causes the explosion to be at the wrong time and too hot. You should not have that problem with the 4.6. The problem is with the 3V engines.

I'd still get a tuner nevertheless, really wakes the truck up, makes the tranny last longer, and will give you much more gains from the Cold air intake

Yeah for sure. I've been doing a little looking here and there. Any recommendations as to what tuners/chips are worth looking into?
