yep...especially as I haven't had the Expy I got rid of the truck for either...I've been 2+ weeks without a Ford. Just my Dodge

OK, I'm definitely a novice paint / prep guy. But I really need to get this done on my exhaust. Seems straight forward but....how much do you need to scuff the surface? Do you really get it in there and scratch the hell out of it or just a little?

Do you guys also recommend removing the tips to do all of this. Logic says yes but I remember them going on it was def a PITA. However, seems like if you don't the job is twice as hard. lemmeno

ever sanded something?

all you need is a set of light surface scratches. If you make deep gouges, it will be obvious when you paint it. Some 180 grit sandpaper would work just fine as well I think


just sand/clean the tips until you've covered the entire things 100%...any areas you miss will have the paint peel
