someone help

I've come to the conclusion in my current financial situation it'd be best to just get a leveling kit and 33 Toyo MT and 20" MM 951.. Question first, would it fit? Another question with 3.55 LS how much would my gas mileage be affected? 2-3mpg? Also, if I could somehow manage to regear my truck myself with 3.73 would that help gas mileage or no? Any advice is great.

PS: Am getting a PHP Gryphon too. And I get around 14mpg now.

if you are going to do gears, dont jump to 3.73. If you're gonna pay that much, go with at least 4.10 and maybe 4.56.

33s should fit as long as your backspacing isnt too low.

I've found some 3.55 gears for around 90 bucks, so if I could at ALL do it myself, I could do it for like 100 bucks or so.

If I went to 4.10 wouldn't my gas mileage hit the ****ter?

i would pay to have gears put in. i have gotten a qoute of $250 an axle + gears which i didn't think was bad. like msall said its not worth it to pay for 3.73. get 33's and then decide if you want gears or not, 33's shouldn't hurt mpg or hp to bad especially w/ the gryphon but i bet your quicker than u are know.

Basically, the difference in gas mileage won't be enough to justify paying to regear it.

Your gears will be fine. Not worth the money to upgrade just for 33's. Come on dude, you've been on this site WELL long enough to know what wheel, tire, and lift combos will fit without trouble. Shame on you for bringing up another "Will it fit??" thread.

Sorry man I just sometimes get different answers, especially since I'm 2wd and my truck hates me!

leveling kit $250 installed
wheels: $1160
tires: $1560
Total: $2970

17" 951's wheels: $948
35" toyo mt tires: $1448
6" lift: 1450 (fabtech on ebay) (doesch 6" kit on ebay isn't even $1400 shipped)
total: $3700ish

(i used 4wp for price)

i only spent $3550 OTD for wheels/tires and lift installed if that helps any.

so your $900 more to get a 6" lift, but if you decided on cheaper wheels/tires you can easily get that closer to like $3300 and have a full 6" of lift instead of a leveling kit. just some food for thought cuz i really wanna see ur truck big

Cept I'm going with 20s and 35s lol.. And on the 35s totally forgot about the 800 for re gearing. 1500 you can get the lift kit, then you are looking at around another 900 for install.

Why ya wanna see my truck big?

cuz thats ALL you talk about, ur worse than me

you dont gotta re-gear w/ 35's, its really not bad, especially if you got a gryphon. my truck pushes the 35's fine w/ the 4.6. dont HAVE to have 20's lol. install wouldn't be $900, more like $500, you could do a 2wd lift farely easy, doing the rear is a joke, probly take you an hour to put a block and the new shocks on.

Yeah, I'm sorry I get OCD.

For sake of my dad not shooting me!

I don't HAVE to have a lift either! haha, but 20s are so sexyyy.. I called around and they told me 600-900 depending what they problems they ran into lol
