Ford does not make one in black, if that's what you want, you're gonna have to paint or dye it.

They make fabric dye, but with anything like that, unless you have experience, there's a good chance that it won't turn out good

The harley davidson headliner is black, but it is about 450.. I got mine recovered in suede for 200. If you dont have a sunroof it will be cake, but if you do good luck getting the slide shade out, it is not use friendly!

I used this to paint my sub box.

It was a dark grey. Now it matches the floor mats. Use several light coates until you get the desired results.

Yes it would. I have done at least 20 headliners with various materials in the last few years and I always get my materials from a local fabric store. Well I order it from their website. Almost always I do the suede, which is what most people want anyway.

I use the 3M 90 ahesive spray. They make various strengths. I think there is a 60,75, and a 90. I always use the 90. It has a green label and is in the paint department at Home Depot.

He's not kidding- that 3M stuff is crazy strong. We use it at work on drums that are coated in oil, paint, and all kinds of other wastes. The 3M adhesive REALLY sticks things together... including your hand to the steering wheel, if you don't realize you had some on you and go for a drive!

It most likely did make it feel crispy. I've used pretty much every brand of spray fabric paint when I was building my Mustang in high school. It's going to feel crispy and as it gets touched, the paint will actually flake apart, eventually showing the original color in some areas. Not to mention you'll be spraying up unless you remove the headliner first. If you remove the headliner first, there's no justification to not just recover it.

Use several very light coats. After it was totally dry I used a scrub brush to soften the fabric up. I run the vacuum cleaner across it every time I clean my truck. Still looks good, no flacking or anything. I am very satisfied with the results. Still I would never use it on seats like the product says you can.
