I got my tailgate, front fender and doors painted this weekend and had to remove some emblems...the question is; put the originals back on or go with 09 emblems...let me know your opinions

 

put the old ones back on man. the 09 ones are awful IMHO. i think they are just terrible, without a doubt the worst part of the new body style. if i bought an 09 i would take them off that day.

x2. I really like the new look of the emblems.
However since they really belong on an '09 I am not sure if I would put them on an earlier version F-150 or not....I have been debating it myself.

I guess it all depends on how "original" you want to keep the truck.

In my opinion, the badges they used on the '04-'08 trucks were absolutely atrocious! For one thing, they are poorly manufactured so that the black paint usually comes off within a year. For another, they are about as uninspired of a design as you could possibly get, looking like something a sophomore in high school made in his shop class.....

I think I'd go with the '09 badges.....

They do. For the tailgate you need emblems for a flareside I believe.

 

I think I'm going tostick with the originals, I don't like the thing that says stx on the fender emblems

 

Get the XLT emblems only you will know

I personally like my 07 Emblems better!....

 

I like the 09s, I plan on getting a set
