Under hood lights
GM put simple single wire underhood lights in most all of it's cars and trucks from the early 70s to the 90s. These vehicles now litter America's salvage yards. The last three cars/trucks I've bought (including my F150) have had one installed by me (pics in my profile). They run $5 most of the time. All you have to do is screw it to a hood brace and attach the one wire to the battery (I also use a male/female terminal to unhook it anytime I want to leave the hood open for extended periods of time and an inline 10 amp fuse "just in case").
