when i go to use my sirius input it says "connect error" I have tried both the harness this unit came with as well as the factory harness that came with my sirius tunner when i bought it.

I have an 05 XLT with the factory sirius installed. I have a factory antenna on the roof and both my sirus tuner and the one i aquired on ebay work w/ my harness, (one setup will be for sale when i figure this all out)

so why when i plug in this navigation unit does everything work but the sat tuners? I have tried both harnesses

 

I talked to the orgional owner. It came out of an 05 king ranch w the works. Anyone have a clue?I

 

so the long battle is finally over. After talking to everyone on any forum i could find. Calling dealers and guys on ebay that programmed units i ended up talking to these people.

A very smart and helpfull gentlemen claimed he was stumped by my problem. I ended up sending him my Vistion and Delphi Sirius tuner, both my navigation harness w/ previsions for the aux tray as well as the T-harness just for the Delphi tuner. I also sent the navigation tuner.

So he bench tested it all and the Delphi harness is the right one but doesnt work for some reason. he grabbed the same harness off the shelf and BINGO it works.... The harness worked on my 6-pack but not the navigation unit. He sold me another harness for $50 bucks.... I have factory Navigation, Hvac and volume controls and Auto climate control w/ manual fan control for now.....(havent got around to wring the fan controller in yet)

just kidding. Got the deck back from united radio, where it "works on the bench" but the sirius will not work in my truck. I get this....

I know its not the Sirius Tuner or the harness b/c it works with my factory 6-disc. I also sent-out my Navigation unit, harness and Sirius tuner for testing and its all good..The deck has been programmed for my truck as well. Everyone and I mean everything works but Sirius....
It just wont work inside my 2005 F150 XLT. Anyone know why?

 

did u call sirius and put the new unit on your account in place of your old 6-disc?
