Nope, lol. Im sure its possible. You just have to complain, cuss, moan, take a nap, pray, then do it again and it should pop out. Its probably like removing most of the stuff on the truck.

Can you feel any pins or clips if you reach your hand behind the mirror?

I did see somewhere that somebody else was trying to do this and that there were screws and nuts attaching them to the housing. The SD's just snap in so ours might be the same way.

Yeah on a lot of cars the turn signals on the mirrors are red.

Another thread on here said the lights were attached to the lens or something weird it is it pretty much not do-able without a lot of effort. I must ask though, why? IMO turn stuff should be amber, but I guess from the back read would match the tail lights.

Pop the lense out, then remove the screws holding the mirror cap on. You can get at the light then. I was gonna change mine. They make transparent red tape(almost like a film) but for the life of me i cant find it anywhere

put the mirror in the up position, and take a flash light and look up from teh bottom and youll see some little tabs. take a long standard screw driver and carefully turn n pry in the seam. the glass will pop off n expose the 3 or 4 screws

This might be a little overkill for your situation but.. I changed the amber color on the lens of my ranger to red by applying some duplicolor 'metalcast' red paint. The cap looks like its red chrome and it basically candied the taillights to make them all red, that little strip is so small it might be too much work for what its worth, but just an idea
