Truck toolbox. Help!

Man I feel like i've looked everywhere. I'm looking for a black tread/diamond plate, cross over, low profile toolbox for an '08 f-150 FLARESIDE. Cant find them anywhere!?! Would prefer single lid but at this point I dont really care. Anybody know where i could find one?

Tractor supply carries them in their name brand... and Lowes sometimes does have them in store in the Kobalt branded unit but can get them if they are not in stock.

Thanks for the info fellas.

I'll have to go into Tractor Supply and see what they have/say. I've looked around online and as far as i can tell they dont sell a flareside model.

PHS79, That one looks nice. Do you by chance know about how much they go for?

I've got a "United Welding Services" black low profile. Seems to be high quality. I've had it about 5 years. I had to go to their website and find a dealer that was close to me. Called them and had them order one. Got it in a few days. Here's a pic of a silver one mounted on a truck. Scroll down to find your part #.

I bought one for my 1994 F-150 at Shucks Auto Parts (Checkers/Kragen)...spent $180 for it. Low profile, single lid and with Diamond plate. They had the option of Shiny or Black at the time

I can't remember if they have those in Texas or not.

Does anyone happen to know what the length it is I need? I went out and measured my bed and its about 65" across. Do they measure long/short or something cause i'm finding nothing at that size.

I thought that was the one that an old neighbor had in his truck, I know that it was a Lo-Pro Weatherguard. Although Weatherguards are very pricey units, i would guess that one is somewhere in the $500. The super deep one I wanted for my work truck was right around $900. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

is that 65" from outer rail to outer rail?

or

is that 65" from inner edge of rail to inner edge of rail?

if from outer to outer, look for a box that is 60-62" wide (roughly)...most boxes don't sit flush with the outer edges...60-62" will leave you about 2" of space on either side of the box and the outer rail

Don't know if this helps, but Tractor Supply will let you test fit them in your truck. I knew exactly which one would fit in mine, but he told me to take it out and make sure it fits in my truck before paying for it.

I'll get measurements from mine in a little bit if that will help.

Outer rail to outer rail. Was investigating lastnight and found that the box i need is 66". So now I need to go to Tractor Supply etc.. and see what they have/can get.
