Alignment after Leveling Kit Problems

I recently put the 2.5" AS on my truck and 35" tires. I took it to get aligned and the mechanic did it but when I got it back it is pulling to the left. I have the printout and everything is in spec, so I was wondering why it is still pulling?

The measurements are Camber: -.3 on the left and -.4 on the right Caster: 4.6 on the left and 5.1 on the right and Toe: .05 on the left and .04 on the right

Your toe could closer to zero other wise they don't look that bad to be causing a real bad pull.

Here are mine and my truck drives dead straight

Camber: -0.4L -0.7R

Caster: 4.2L 4.5R

Toe: 0.00L 0.01R

steer ahead 0.00

Also, is tire pressure even?

And what kind of road are you testing it on?

I also have the Factory alignment specs for all 04+ trucks but I am not sure how to post a PDF file?

At the settings on your print out the truck should not be pulling you have a 1/2 degree lead to the left, That is just about where it needs to be to allow for road crown,Is you air pressure equal in all tires? if so try swapping the front 2 tires side to side then re test drive if it now pulls the other way it is a tire pull

The tire pressure in all 4 tires is the same and I switched the front two tires and it still pulls to the left

Does anyone have any idea why it would still be pulling?

Take it back and tell them what it's doing. Even if its in spec, if its still pulling then YOUR truck is not in spec.

Same exact thing happend to me when I had mine done after the alignment kit ate a set of tires after I bought the truck. Put the brand new tires on, had it aligned, and everything seemed fine for about a week. Then all the sudden started pulling hard left again.

Took it back to 4Wheel Parts and then listened to what I said, made the adjustments, and now it drives straight as can be. No problems at all. If the alignment guy is worth a crap, he will listen to what you are telling him it's doing, and make adjustments, regardless of what his machine tells him is right.

i took mine in because it was pulling both left and right depending on what lane im in. but ford said that the f150 was notorious for pulling with the crown of the road with a bigger tire/wheel combo. i have 305/50/20r on my truck so im smaller then you. but thats what they told me.

This exact same thing happened to me just 2 weeks ago. Come to find out there was a loose bolt on one of the struts or other pieces that was taken apart when installing the spacer. The mechanic kept telling me that he was having hell getting it to stay adjusted within spec cause everytime he turned the wheel the numbers would change. After he tightened the bolt the numbers stayed and he was able to get it to align. So be sure and check that all the bolts were tight. And when I say the bolt was loose I mean it wasn't about to fall off it just wasn't tightened all the way.

Assuming your truck was in spec to begin with, all they should have had to do was adjust the toe.

I asked them this question and they told me I was completely wrong. Not saying that you aren't right just saying that they told me a toe adjustment only would cause premature wear on the tires.

Considering 100's if not 1000's of people on this board have been through it, including myself, the shop you used is completely wrong.

My truck simply required a small toe adjustment after the Bilstein 5100 install, and that was it. All other specs were bang on. My truck drives perfectly. I'm REALLY picky when it comes to any kind of pull, vibration, etc, and will go to any extent to get it solved if need be, but this truck of mine has been excellent as long as I've had it, including after the level.

Which means it's out of alignment. That alignment shop needs an alignment.

Time to switch shops. Once again, assuming your truck was in spec to begin with, the only thing that SHOULD need adjusting after a leveling kit is the toe.

As mentioned above, the majority of the people here, including myself, installed a leveling kit, had the toe adjusted and have been fine ever since. My BFGoodrich KM2s are wearing just fine, 12,000 miles and hardly any noticable wear at all. And what has worn has worn evenly.

I talked to the mechanic again and he said the only thing he adjusted was the toe because everything else was in spec. He says it is pulling due to the new tires. Is this correct?
