Leveling kit and fender height
Leveling kit and fender height
I have a 08 f150 supercrew with stock 18's. I want to level it out and put 35s. But I measured all the way around and I got 38 5/8 in back and 36 1/4 in the front. If i buy the 2.5" kit I still dont believe I got enough room for 35's. I was wondering would I benefit more from the 3" with a lift block in the back to try to get close to 40" to help clear the 35's? Has anyone had probs with a 3" kit in the front? Its a daily driver might see mud a few times a year on the occasional trip to the hunting club or a bad job site. Any help would be great thanks Chris

Some people have had issues putting on 3" leveling kits with regards to the upper control arms hitting the springs. But then again, some have had their 3" leveling kits on for years without any issues. Mainly the issue is rubbing due to the stock wheel back spacing. You could always get aftermarket wheels to cure this. But from what I gather, it's really only at full lock that it rubs. At any rate, 2.5" should be able to handle 35"s.

I have a 2008 with the 2.5" AS kit and 35's on factory 20s. It does rub at lock, but from what I can determine the factory 18's and 35s don't rub, maybe that has to do with backspacing or width.
