New guy with a question

I did a search, but didn't really find anything.

My 06 has a hesitation off idle, and was wondering if this is caused by the "drive by wire" or something else. It was there from the day I got the truck, but after installing a cat back kit and a Air Raid JR. with a K&N it got more noticeable.

It goes flat for a second if you put it to the floor off idle like at a stop sign, and I'd like to get rid of this before I do any mods once the truck is out of warranty, which is coming up soon.

Also, it doesn't shift down all that great either.

I heard that a TB spacer would help?? Just wanted to ask the experts before I go buying crap I don't need.

Eventually I'd like to add a full exhaust and a Whipple Charger to the truck, but waiting for the warranty to expire and my car build to be done.

Thanks for the help.

What ever you do DO NOT GET A THROTTLE BODY SPACER!!!! I got one in my 04 and I took it out a week after I put it in, Now its a decoration in my shop. Most or the 05 up f150s have this hesitation, I've herd its something to do with trying to get the truck to have better milage. The thing that would help you I think is a programmer

I was starting to read up on the Edge, but I had to log off, other things to do. Any recommendations? Will it help with mileage at all too, shift points??

Go read some in the chips and tuners section of the forums. Plenty of info and I assure you all your questions will be answered.

And don't waste your time on TB spacers. They are useless and a waste of money.
