Tunes are a waste of money. You're 1/4 of the way to a supercharger. Roush is still selling NI kits for $2100. 8 hours later you'll be getting 95-100 RWHP instead of the 10-15 RWHP you get from a tune (that's with a tailwind and new emblems).

Plus the whine will put a smile on your face.

You get more then 10-15 RWHP from a good custom tuner. In his case, custom tuning should come after the blower just to squeeze every bit of power out of it.

On a dyno, yes, but you have to buy the tuner and the dyno time along with the tuner's hourly rate. Now you're talking upwards of $750 just to get it tuned. Mail or out of box tunes yield around 20 hp at the flywheel, if that.

If one goes the Roush blower route, it's $2100 and the tune is included, a nice guaranteed safe tune which can be custom tuned later. And it yields more than any custom tune by itself would ever produce. 112hp >>> 25hp

Cost per HP for the Roush blower: $18.75
Cost per HP for tuner and custom tune: $28.00

Just my .02.

My wife says no lap dances. A supercharger is a possibility, but a long ways down the road. If I can find some seats I'll get them, if the price is right. If not I'll call the guys at php. I kinda want t take care of the appearance first. Roush has some of their seat covers on sale that I'm looking at right now.
